bad ideas
full of 'em.
Thought.
Linked terminals displaying part of the whole. Each contains some, but not all of it. Simple example. 2 terminals. One odds, one evens.
To get the whole picture, you need to flit between them, in the proper sequence.
Part of the puzzle is working out the sequence or finding enough of the right parts to make sense of it all. Multiply over a number of terminals with a cross-over between the output of each.
Thought. 100 people. 100 dictaphones. Have them in a caterpillar. Walk them through a town centre for 10 minutes and have them speak as they walk. What they think, see, feel, whatever comes into their heads. Then give them 10 minutes of random dispersion.
Collect recordings and see a city through the words of 100 different strangers.

This is not necessarily a bad idea, this could actually work you know? Thing is, most people don't have the aptitude to recognise their surroundings and actively comment on it... I think we should try this, really interested in the results now...
Hmmmm
